Description
I was asked to donate a painting to our local Single Mothers' Outreach program. Six artists were matched with 6 children. I was matched with a darling 7 year old girl. During our talk, I learned that dancing made her happy, she loved the color pink, and she wished she could get a puppy. Our paintings were supposed to depict the child's story and we had to include butterflies. I knew the word "Dance" would be in the painting somewhere. And I felt dancing for joy was such a universal feeling, I chose to include the word dance in several different languages. I love the uplifting feeling of the little girl reaching up in her dance move with the puppy wanting to dance with her. Just a happy painting.
