Visiting Scotland, I saw so many gorgeous cottages and flowers. These blue poppies drew my attention immediately. The window is a juxtaposition of two different cottage windows I saw. The poppies are the most important element. The blue poppy originated in the Himalayans.

LAURIE MORGAN - Commissions Welcomed “Painting became a true love after years in the entertainment field. I get a thrill rendering on canvas the sights I see in my travels around the world. I’m intrigued by historical architecture and most of my work contains part of a house, castle, cottage, cabin, barn or other structure. Many of my paintings have windows or doors, arches and pathways. These mean to me ‘adventure, surprise and levels of spirituality’. I’m fascinated by man’s use of natural substances such as, stone, brick, wood and often add these to my work as well. Equally I love flowers and gardens and try to include them wherever I can; often inspired by my own garden.” Laurie’s art has been exhibited at The Gallery...

Charming window - love the crisscross pattern between the panes and the sunny yellow of the house itself - great backdrop for these blue poppies.
