Artist's Description
I traveled to Europe for the first time in 1975. Went to Italy, France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. For some reason, I can't find any pictures I took of that trip. I went with my mother and step-father. We visited friends and relatives. One of the places we visited was Provence, France. Recently (8/2018) my mother passed away and I had to go through her things. I found a little Kodak Instamatic snapshot of Annot Train Station tucked away in a drawer. That was the camera I had in the early 1970s. The date on the photo was 1971, but I was there in 1975 and remember the charming train station. Since I had been there, I felt comfortable using the photo as a reference. It brought back so many memories of that incredible first trip to Europe!

About Laurie Morgan
LAURIE MORGAN - Commissions Welcomed “Painting became a true love after years in the entertainment field. I get a thrill rendering on canvas the sights I see in my travels around the world. I’m intrigued by historical architecture and most of my work contains part of a house, castle, cottage, cabin, barn or other structure. Many of my paintings have windows or doors, arches and pathways. These mean to me ‘adventure, surprise and levels of spirituality’. I’m fascinated by man’s use of natural substances such as, stone, brick, wood and often add these to my work as well. Equally I love flowers and gardens and try to include them wherever I can; often inspired by my own garden.” Laurie’s art has been exhibited at The Gallery...
