Artist's Description
This started as a plein air piece in a friend's garden. It was very early spring and not much was blooming. So I "invented" some bright foliage and what I imagined would be growing in the pot. After (I thought) it was done, I just impulsively added the little bird and twig and all of a sudden it was "home".
